Local artist Mike Foster can turn his hand to many crafts, including woodwork (walking sticks), knitting (cute toys), waxwork (dog shaped candles), resin work (keyrings) and painting (natural and village landscapes).
Inspired by a painting of a series of houses, hanging on a friend’s wall, Mike’s new and exciting painting style emerged. His latest paintings portray quirky buildings in glorious colour.
One has been sold, another was given away as a gift and the third is on sale at Bodmin Way’s table top stall, set up at the cream tea afternoons at St. Petroc’s Church.
Mike has nearly finished the next painting in his new style which will be added to the other items. No doubt more will soon follow. Not only does Mike paint the pictures, he also frames and gives them to Bodmin Way, to raise money for its community projects.
The stall will be at the next two creams teas, on Sundays, August 28 and September 4, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. Alternately, purchases can be made via info@bodminway.org.
