Singing for all

The Community Choir is for everyone.

  • Under 11s are to be accompanied by a family member; 11+ can attend without an adult, by contacting info@bodminway.org.

  • Let us know you intend to sing info@bodminway.org

  • To help cover costs, adults are asked to contribute £2.50 per session and teenagers £1. However, we would not want this charge to prevent anyone from attending the choir.

  • Folders are provided for song lyrics. Copies of musical scores are available on request.

Summer Sing 2024

  • June 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th

  • July 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th

We’re planning to sing at the Fowey River choir evenings as one of our summer performances. We’ll be choosing the repertoire shortly and always welcome new members and song suggestions!

The Spring was Buzzing with Singers

The Bodmin Way Community Choir, established in Autumn 2022, flourished again this Spring, providing singing and enjoyment for all ages and abilities during March and April. With songs ranging from The Beatles ‘All you Need is Love’ and Coldplays ‘Fix You’, to some Celtic folk-inspired Spring & Easter themed songs, the enthusiastic singers took everything in their stride! They have also been working on an original song by the choir’s director, which the choir perform beautifully.

Spring Performance!

Come and hear Bodmin Way Community Choir sing at Bodmin Town’s Market on Mount Folly on Saturday 27th April from 11-11.30am. We’ll be there singing our hearts out, and then enjoying the market – hopefully in the sunshine!

Bodmin Way Community Choir Members Support Community Panto

Three choir members took on roles in Bodmin Community Pantomime, February 2024, Nola as Aladdin, Damian as Widow Twankey and Mikaela as Ping with Debby as Assistant Director and Stage Crew and Lynn as Stage Manager, Scenery, Costumes and Makeup. They helped make the first performance for this community panto group a huge success.

Summer 2023

Community Choir SUMMER SINGING.jpg

Summer Singing had begun.

The sun shone for our first two sessions and summer dresses were worn!

It was a pleasure to welcome new singers to the group.

Young people who attain choir and SPY Network had a sailing weekend at the end of June. We sang our choir songs as our boats sailed side by side with the ocean as our audiance!

Summer Singing continued. We rehearsed 'Walking on Sunshine', 'Summertime', 'Who will Buy?' and 'Let's Go Fly a Kite'.

The choir performed on Mount Folly at Bodmin Town's market on Saturday 29 July - singing as you shop!
