During the Summer holidays, ‘Fun bags’ were made up and distributed to local children. They consisted of an activity such as a hula hoop or skipping rope to encourage children to stay active, a craft for rainy days and a few edible treats.

Along with successive variations at half term and Christmas, due to the positive reaction received, fun bags were given again at Easter. The team enabled the school and the Lanivet Under Fives nursery to celebrate Harvest by providing materials to help children grow vegetables. In partnership with Bodmin Nursery, they provided £125 of grow bags, planters and seedlings. A Spring basket project along similar lines is being prepared to follow this up.
