Bodmin Marathon Gives Back to the Community

Funds raised from this year’s race support local churches and good causesIt’s been a couple of months since the 2025 Beacon Beast Marathon, The Bodmin Way, and last week, runners, volunteers and local groups came together again, this time not to race, but to celebrate what we achieved together. The event took place at The Pad on Normandy Way, where the marathon team handed out donations to five fantastic local churches and charities. Giving back to the community is one of the main aims of the marathon and thanks to all the amazing people who took part, we were able to do just that. Here’s Ann Kerridge being presented with a cheque by Race Director Sharon Hambley for St. Meubred’s Church, Cardinham. Donations were also given to St. Stephen’s in Nanstallon, Lanivet Historic Church, and St. Petroc’s in Bodmin, all churches that play a key role on race day. These churches don’t just offer water and cheers along the way, they’re also stops on The Bodmin Way, our walking and cycling trail that inspired the whole marathon route. The final stretch even finishes at the top of St. Petroc’s Steps, a tough climb but the perfect ending! So whether you’ve run it, walked it, or biked it, you’ll know how special this route is. It’s not just about the miles, it’s about the views, the history, the people, and the community spirit that makes Bodmin such a brilliant place to be.The next Bodmin Marathon is happening on Sunday 19 April 2026 – we’d love to see you there!Find out more:
