A Short Interview with Ann Kerridge

What have your roles included as churchwarden at St. Meubred’s?

All kinds of things, from repainting our noticeboard to applying for grants worth thousands of pounds.

What is a Reader, and what do you enjoy most about being one?

As a Reader, I am licensed by our bishop to preach and lead services. I especially enjoy creating my own services and giving sermons.

What sort of things have you been involved in as a director for Bodmin Way?

Bodmin Way started as a collective approach to promoting church heritage and supporting our communities. As a director from the outset, I am responsible for helping to ensure the organisation stays afloat. When money is tight, we have to decide what to stop and what to focus on.
Besides being a Bodmin Way director, Ann has supported many of its events. She has been a frequent walker on The Bodmin Way, taking part in route trials, walking between churches and their circular walks, and completing the route from St. Petroc’s to St. Hydroc’s for a special Evening Song service. Ann is also a valued member of Bodmin Way Community Choir and can always be relied upon to participate in—or initiate—heritage events and community support activities. It’s great having her on board!
