400 green bottles

On Monday 6 March 2023 children participating in Bodmin’s St Piran’s Day celebrations will be given the usual pasty lunch, but this year each child will be given a reusable bottle for their water. Up to 400 children will attend and contribute to the celebration.

Thanks to sole sponsor, Proper Cornish, the event will be reducing single use plastic, and supporting Plastic Free Bodmin (PFB) in their goal to remove single use plastic from our community.

PFB, Bodmin Way and Bodmin Life jointly ran a logo design competition in the autumn. Fabulous entries were received and the winning design, by Merix Robins, is printed on the bottles, by Rocket Pixels Ltd, who gave design input as well as printing expertise.

Bodmin's annual St Piran's Day celebrations start at 11am outside The Old Library on the school day nearest to St Piran's Day; so this year it's on Monday 6th March.

Everyone is welcome.
