👥Terry, a much-loved regular at Time Together friendship group in Shire House Suite, Bodmin, is known to everyone as “Smiler” — and it’s easy to see why.
One Wednesday was extra special, as Terry chose to celebrate his 80th birthday with friends at the group.
Having spent many years singing in a band and entertaining residents in care homes as a solo performer, music has always been close to his heart. So, it was a meaningful moment when he sat back and enjoyed a performance from Bodmin Way Community Choir, invited as part of the group’s varied activities, which happened to fall on his birthday.
The celebration continued as the choir and everyone at Time Together sang “Happy Birthday.” It was a touching moment that clearly meant a great deal to Terry.
Soon after, Terry set off to meet his daughter, who had just flown in to spend a few days with him. The celebrations didn’t stop there — later that evening, he would be joined by his son and daughter-in-law for a special birthday meal.
A truly heartwarming day filled with music, friendship and family.
Thank you, Terry, for letting Time Together be part of such a special occasion.
