The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, was in Bodmin as part of his mission tour to Cornwall.
He visited St. Petroc’s Church of England primary school. The pupils sang the ‘Choristers Blessing’ over everyone in the playground, followed by an opportunity to ask Archbishop Justin their questions.
Archbishop Justin visited Bodmin college, meeting students from Greenfield Centre, Sixth Form Pathways, Journey Centre and Sixth Form Work Skills.
Archbishop Justin was introduced to people from the town at a gathering at ‘Ourgate’, the home of Revd Elaine Munday.
Archbishop Justin and the Bishop of Truro met residents of Kinsman and Treningle View at the Community Hub.
On Saturday afternoon Archbishop Justin joined a Families Fest in Lanivet. He talked about Jesus and the difference he makes to peoples’ lives.
Young people from Bodmin Way Youth Club and other groups in Bodmin attended ‘Bulb’, at St. Martin’s Church, Liskeard, on Sunday afternoon. The Archbishop dropped in on the youth event and shared his story and the story of Jesus with the many young people there.
Children across Cornwall sang a blessing to welcome the Archbishop of Canterbury to our county and our towns, with Chris Grey, Esme Page and Choristers from Truro Cathedral.
