In October, the Bodmin Way started their biggest project to support local business
and in collaboration with the Bodmin Chamber of Commerce on the 21st of October Dave Birch set up a Facebook Group called Bodmin Virtual Market.
The objective was to create a free easy to use community-based platform where local
businesses, food producers and crafters in Bodmin and surrounding villages can connect with people and boost their business.
Joy Bassett, Chair of Bodmin Chamber explained “With Christmas, and a lot of uncertainty, around the corner, we wanted to encourage buyers to support local businesses as much as possible when they are shopping.”

The market grew and flourished during November and December and continues to be valuable during 2021.
