Five leaflets giving a map and written directions for the walking routes from one location to the next are available from the Information Centre at the Shire Hall, St Petroc's Church and Parish Centre, St Meubred's Church, St Hydroc's Church, and Lanivet Parish Church. We suggest a 50p donation for each leaflet.
Cycling and driving routes will follow shortly.
Ideas for walking the route:
1 Complete the whole 20 mile circuit in a day, resting at each location and uncover the history and art of the churches; which are open daily from 10am to 5pm.
2 Take in all five locations, over two days, going anti-clockwise from Cardinham to Bodmin to Nanstallon to Lanivet, stay overnight at Lanivet and continue the next day to Lanhydrock and back to Cardinham.
3 Set off from one location, walk to the next and back, from the choice of Cardinham to Bodmin, Bodmin to Nanstallon, Nanstallon to Lanivet, Lanivet to Lanhydrock and Lanhydrock to Cardinham.
The walking routes cannot be used as cycling routes. Separate maps and written instructions for cycle routes will be available later in the year.
By the end of October Bodmin Way PASSPORTS will be available to buy, for 50p, from: Bodmin Town Information Centre (in the Shire Hall), St Petroc's, St Meubred's, St Hydroc's and Lanivet Church. Those with a PASSPORT should be able to find the bespoke stamp in each church.
